Android 2.3.6 Update For The Nexus S Starts Rolling Out

Google Nexus S

Google has started to roll out an update to the Nexus S that fixes the nasty voice search bug. The update bumps the Android version to 2.3.6.

The update is only a bugfix release, dealing with only a bug that would activate Search by itself when user would be using other apps. Users in Canada have already started getting the update and it should reach you some time later. Also, if your Nexus S is locked to a carrier, it may take even longer for the update to reach you. Either ways, not a big deal as this is only a minor update. Shouldn’t be long before the update reaches you, as not many units were sold.
