Flash Player Plugin For Android Won’t Be Available For Download From August 15

Adobe Flash Player for Android

Back in November last year, Adobe had announced that it’d stop developing its Flash Player plugin for Android. Today they announced that the plugin won’t be available for download from the Play store, starting August 15. The first Nexus tablet, Nexus 7, doesn’t support Flash.

Adobe announced further that its plugin won’t be supported on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the latest version of Android. Chrome may become the standard browser for Android, beginning Jelly Bean – it’s already the default browser on the Nexus 7, and Chrome doesn’t support Flash.

However, you’ll be able to install updates if you have Flash Player already installed. There will be minor bug fixes, if any necessary, said Adobe.
