Google May Use Texas Instruments’ OMAP4 Processor For Ice Cream Sandwich

Google and Texas Instruments are getting cozy, or so it seems. In an Email, a PR representative unknowingly leaked that the company will be working in close partnership with Google. Apparently, for the next version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Ice Cream Sandwich will bring together the Smartphone and Tablet versions of Android. Now, only Motorola has been the major user of TI’s proccys in its smartphones. When it comes to tablets, NVIDIA rules there. That, with ICS, is expected to change. For better or worse, no idea, though.
