Google Q3 Results Out – 190 Million Androids Activated So Far, 65 Million In Q2 2011

Google announced its Q3 results today.

Larry Page it was, who announced the results. Apparently, Google’s revenues were up by 33% – at $9.72 Billion. Operating Income stood at $3.01 Billion.

“We had a great quarter,” said Larry Page, CEO of Google.  “Revenue was up 33% year on year and our quarterly revenue was just short of $10 billion. Google+ is now open to everyone and we just passed the 40 million user mark. People are flocking into Google+ at an incredible rate and we are just getting started!”

Now, talking about Android. Google had activated around 135 Million Android-powered devices until last quarter. That number increased to 190 Million. So 65 Million new Androids were activated in this quarter alone. That’s about 48% of the total Android devices activated until Quarter 2!

Those 65 Million new activations this quarter translate into 720k activations per day. That’s up from 550k activations/day last quarter. Almost a whopping 31% increase.

Go Google.. err, Android, go!
