Le Pan unveiled three Android Tablets today – the Le Pan III, II and the TC978, and has hinted that it aims to bring the otherwise pricey tablets to the masses. How? Well, the Le Pan II is already up for grabs over at the Amazon store, for $300, and after reading the specs below, you’ll know what I mean. Ready?

First up, the Le Pan III.

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • TI OMAP 4460, 1.5 GHz Dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM / 8GB Storage (expandable to 32GB with MicroSD card)
  • Built-in Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n); Bluetooth (4.0); GPS module
  • 5MP Camera (Rear) + 2MP Camera (Front)
  • Support 1080P output/USB OTG/Ethernet through adapters

Next, the Le Pan II

  • Android 3.2 Honeycomb, upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Qualcomm APQ8060 1.2GHz dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM / 8GB Storage (expandable to 32GB with MicroSD)
  • Built-in Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n); Bluetooth (V2.1+EDR); GPS module
  • 2MP Camera (Front)
  • Support 1080P output/USB OTG/Ethernet through adapters

And finally, the TC978. The humblest of all the three tablets from Le Pan. And probably the cheapest, too.

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • TI OMAP 4430, 1GHz Dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM / 4GB Storage (expandable to 32GB with MicroSD)
  • Built-in Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n); Bluetooth (4.0); GPS module
  • 2MP Camera (Front)

It’s quite clear the Le Pan III is the best of the bunch here, but, it’s the price that could sway the decision of the users. Still hunting for the quotes, I’ll get back to you when I have them. Stay hooked.
