LG Announces Three L-Style Android Smartphones – Optimus L3, L5 And L7
LG has announced three new Android smartphones today, adding to that Optimus Vu that was announced yesterday (apart from the much similar Optimus LTE Tag (I deemed it was unnecessary to blog about it separately)). The devices have been branded as L-Style. It’s a bit confusing, as they are actually a part of the Optimus series. So, it’s actually L-Style Optimus L3/5/7? Someone needs a good branding person.
These L-series devices come with a ‘new’ Floating Mass Display technology. Something like the Lumia 800, wherein the display is much closer to the glass, making it seem like the displays are floating. Moving on, the Optimus L3 will come with a 3.2″ display and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It will be launched in March in Europe.
The Optimus L5 and Optimus L7 will come with 4″ and 4.3″ displays respectively, and with ICS out of the box (now we’re talking, eh). LG says it’ll launch these in the first half of this year, but that’s about it. We’ll get the detailed specs at the launch, I guess.
