LG Plans To Push Out The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich In Q2, Q3 Of 2012

LG ICS Update

Does it get any more lame than this? Probably it cannot. But well, certain Android OEMs are known to pull a trick out of their magical bag every now and then. In keeping with the tradition, LG has revealed plans of pushing out the oh-so-important Ice Cream Sandwich late next year, for a slew of its Android devices.

Not wasting any more time, the devices that will be getting the ICS update, according to current plans, are -

Quarter 2, 2012 – the April-June period

  • Optimus LTE
  • Prada 3
  • Optimus 2X
  • Optimus Sol
  • myTouch Q
  • Eclipse

Quarter 3, 2012 – the July-September period

  • Optimus 3D
  • Optimus Black
  • Optimus Big
  • Optimus Q2
  • Optimus EX

Now, I don’t even remember half of the devices mentioned above, but, LG, you’re going to take till September next year to deliver the ICS update? Seriously? I hope you’ve not hired a 10 year old kid to port the damn thing.
