Notion Ink’s Adam Will Get Gingerbread

That li’l kid that grew indigenously, that tablet which potentially look like it’ll compete directly with the iPad and wow the world, remember him? Yeah, I’m talking about the Adam, the product of a promising (still?)  Indian startup – Notion Ink. While it is being sucked into hell with various issues, partly because of lack of funds and manpower and partly due to lack of experience and hence the professionalism, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel – it is gearing itself up to receive Gingerbread (huh? Ginngeerbread? No Honeycomb?). If that’s not enough, it is also set to receive some other, so called important updates as well.

Those important updates are –

  • A new e-book client
  • A new Browser
  • Optimally over-clocked Tegra
  • Gingerbread 2.3
  • Lots of Usability Issues resolved
  • New multi-tasking environment
  • Chords Music Library and Player
  • Video Library and Player
  • DSP support
  • Flash pre-installed

While it is good to see the Adam receiving updates, we’re still waiting for a promise made to be fulfilled. Oh well.
