Samsung Launches Galaxy S Advance And Galaxy Pocket In India – 27000 INR And 8200 INR Respectively
Probably a bit late on this – Samsung India launched two more Galaxy-branded devices in India – the Galaxy S Advance and Galaxy Pocket. Both of them target the either side of the budget ends, with the former priced at the north of 20K INR, and the latter costing about 1K INR less than 10K.
The Galaxy S Advance comes with a 4″ Super AMOLED display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 1 GHz Dual Core processor. There’s a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. On the memory front, there’s 768 MB RAM and 8 GB internal memory, expandable with a microSD card. It’ll cost about 27,000 INR, although I think the price is insane. Something around 18k would make sense, not 27k.
Galaxy Pocket, on the other hand, comes with a 2.8″ TFT LCD display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread an 832 MHz processor. There’s a 2 MP camera on the back, but no front camera. There’s 3 GB of internal memory, expandable with a microSD card. Samsung’s priced it at 8,150 INR.
