Samsung’s Next Galaxy Will Be Powered By The Exynos 1.4 GHz Quad Core Processor
We’re all excited about the Next Galaxy smartphone, aren’t we? Samsung has just put another piece of the puzzle in its place by announcing the Exynos 4 Quad processor – which can give you 5.6 GHz of total processing power. On a phone. Barely managed not to faint while writing this.
The Exynos 4 Quad is based on Samsung’s 32 nm HKMG fabrication processor, packing double the number of cores the Exynos 4 Dual came with (SGS2), all the while being 20% more efficient than the latter. There’s power gating on every core, which should help it consume less power, meaning better battery backups for you, as an end user.
I can’t see this as more than a marketing gimmick, but then again, you’ll shell out the same amount of monies more or less if you were to buy a flagship, so there’s really nothing much you can do about it.
Here’s a small video, if you’re interested.
