Samsung’s Sold 10 Million Galaxy S3s… In Two Months
Whoooooping! Yes, I know what you’re thinking. Samsung has reported that it has sold 10 Million Galaxy S3s, in a short span of two months. That’s almost 190,000 devices sold every day since launch.
Its predecessor, the Galaxy S2 took 5 months’ time to reach this mark, to give some perspective. The news was reported by Shin Jong-Kyun, president of Samsung’s IT and Mobile Division. The company was plagued by component shortages, and although it had earlier planned to sell the 10 millionth Galaxy S3 in the first week of July, now isn’t as bad, seeing the shortages it was facing.
The Galaxy S3, arguably, is the best smartphone out there, today, so it isn’t as big a surprise as it seems at first, but it does really say one thing clearly – Samsung has nailed it with this, although the design bit could be debated upon.
Are you buying one? Or do you have one, already?
