Skype Updated To V2.1, Adds Video Calling Support For 17 More Droids
Skype for Android has been bumped to v2.1, adding Video calling support to the following 17 devices:
- Acer A5
- HTC Desire (2.2)
- HTC Desire HD
- HTC Evo 3D
- HTC Evo 4G
- HTC Flyer
- HTC Incredible S
- HTC Sensation
- HTC Thunderbolt – Verizon (2.2) (US only)
- LG Revolution – Verizon (2.2) (US only)
- Samsung Droid Charge – Verizon (2.2) (US only)
- Samsung Galaxy S
- Samsung Galaxy S II
- Samsung Galaxy Tab
- Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro
- Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY
- Sony Ericsson Xperia ray
In case your device does not figure in this list, don’t lose heart, as any device running Froyo can have the please of video chat. There’s a rider though – you can chat, no doubt, but you’ll have to manage using the rear camera. There’s nothing Skype can do about it, here.
