Sony Ericsson Showcases Android 4.0.1 ICS ROM, You Can Test It On Your Xperia Arc S, Neo V And Xperia Ray
After a few days of Google making public the source code of Ice Cream Sandwich, Sony Ericsson was the first to come out in the open about the entire process of updating its devices to the latest version of Android. While I appreciated that they explained it all, I was also a bit skeptical about the Swedes pushing the ICS update to its devices, soon enough.
However, they have showcased a very alpha ICS 4.0.1 ROM on video. Something like a preview ROM. If you’re wondering/planning to flash it on your device, let me make it clear that telephony and Wi-Fi aren’t functional, neither are any of the Google apps. Also not turned on is Bluetooth. Then again, you have to have an Xperia Arc S or a Xperia Neo V or Xperia Ray. In addition to that, you will have to unlock the bootloader as well.
However, if that’s too much for you, or you do not have a compatible device, you could do good to check out the video below.
