ViewSonic, known for its monitors and displays, is all set to release its first Android powered smartphone in the US, at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, that will be held in Las Vegas from January 10-13.
The Asian manufacturer has the ViewPhone 3 in its bag, which comes with Gingerbread pre-installed, and Dual SIM support. There’s more as well, what with Forbes reporting that the company is going to launch more tablets at the show.
Let’s quickly run down the specs –
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- 3.5″ display, probably of WVGA resolution
- 800 MHz processor
- 5 MP main camera, front facing camera present as well
- 512 MB RAM, internal memory expandable with a microSD card
- Dual SIM support, 3G, Bluetooth
Specs are scant, but I’ll try and update this as I have more information.
ViewPhone 3 will be available for $250 off-contract.
