ZTE’s Blade III Leaked, Galaxy Nexus-like Design, 1 GHz Processor And ICS
ZTE’s Blade brand has been known quite a lot. The original Blade is very famous for its hackability. It is a low-end device, launched with Android 2.1 Eclair, and can run 4.1 Jelly Bean. There’s a dual-boot hack too, over at Modaco. What I’m saying is, the brand is well known for its dev-friendliness.
Today, Verkkokauppa, a Finnish online retailer, outed what is called the Blade III. It looks a lot like the Galaxy Nexus, what with the curves and the back, but that doesn’t mean much, for the Blade III is not a premium smartphone. What we know until now, is that it will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, complete with virtual buttons. There’s a 1 GHz processor as well (Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon), and a 5 MP camera on the back. Thankfully, it’s not a fixed focus snapper.
The display though, is disappointing – 3.5″ TFT LCD, WVGA resolution. (480×800). It’s the same as the OG Blade, so yeah. No mention of the GPU, but I guess it’s Adreno 200 or 205. The retailer is selling it for €199, but right now, there’s no stock. Shipping guesstimate is 2-4 weeks.
