The person who suggested Sergey Brin and Larry Page about Android, Andy Rubin, is stepping down as the head of the Android division. Sundar Pichai is taking over the reins of Android, and will help Google “double down”. He’s currently also the VP of Chrome and Apps departments, so that’s a three-thronged effort from Pichai going forward.
