Well. That headline says pretty much. That new headset Nokia announced, is pretty awesome. The looks, simplistic, yet great.
Also named as BH 610, the Essence headsets come with Near field communication feature. There’s Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, so you can connect…
Nokia has finally released three new Symbian devices, running Belle. Those three devices are – 600, 700 and 701. If you notice, these devices’ names come from Nokia’s new naming scheme, which apparently, is supposed to simplify the naming. But… well… they failed at, I feel, just like Samsung (who tried to copy counter this move by Nokia, again).
Nokia 600The next upgrade to Symbian (Anna), Belle, has been officially announced. At an event in Hongkong, Nokia pulled the cover off its “most competitive, seamless and intuitive Symbian experience so far”, to which I agree. It looks tons better. I’m already liking the widgets, although the notification bar is somewhat familiar to all of us, by now.
And…
Much to the relief of the early adopters, Nokia has finally released Symbian Anna update.
Users on Twitter first reported the update was available yesterday late night, when I was going through my timeline. However, Nokia has only made it official today. The update brings new iconography, improved browser among other under the hood changes.
Changes:
Portrait Qwerty; Split screen…Cambo just tweeted that Symbian Belle Firmware has been leaked and is now available for download. He tweeted the download link as well.
Here’s a quick video of Belle on an N8 -
It’s still very early stages, and the final firmware will be tons better than this. There are a couple of bugs too, so be careful!
Just a quick heads up, Symbian Anna devices, namely the E6 and the X7 are being updated to v22.x. The update is not available OTA, at the moment. You’ll have to use Nokia’s Ovi Suite application (PC Software) to update your device. There is no detailed official changelog as of now, but expect some bug fixes and a couple…
It is here, folks. Well, the video, at least. The update that you (Symbian^3 owners) should be actually waiting for has been shown off considerably on the N8. And yes, it is droolworthy.
I particularly like how the icons on the bottom of the screen have been designed, giving it a more modern look. The widgets on the…
Look what was announced today – the first Symbian device to come with a processor clocked at 1 GHz, the Nokia 500. That is not all. It comes with Symbian Anna out of the box.
Coming with a 3.2″ touchscreen of 640×360 resolution and a 5 MP camera (EDoF), the Nokia 500 has Wi-Fi, GPS,…
Tommi Laukkanen has just released a ToDo app MeeGo, Maemo and Symbian platforms. A Qt app, Tommi says he built it because he likes to get things done. Built using Qt Quick, this is the first alpha, so many features are missing and it can be quite buggy, but nonetheless, it has been released, and considering Qt Quick has…
Something happened yesterday afternoon. Right when I had entered my class, I was notified by someone that paid apps had appeared on the Indian Ovi Store.
It was something important, as the users here in India were not able to access paid apps (and their purchased apps as well) for the past 6 months or so. Only users of an…
Here’s a small rant/review of the Split Screen Qwerty Keyboard that comes with Symbian Anna, from our reader, Ali. It’s quite detailed, so do take some time off to read it thoroughly.
As I’m sure all of you know the much awaited and even more delayed Symbian Anna is set to be released for Existing/ previous S^3 owners within the next month (August), although it’s unclear whether NOKIA will opt…
Quite out of the blue, eh? It’s been a long time since a post about an S40 device was posted here, but this caught my attention. @mobileyog just tipped us that Nokia India is offering almost 80 video clips and 10 games for the C2-00 for free.
The games include Real Mini Golf, Tetriz, World Cup 2010,…
