Nokia’s phones – both dumb and smart – are known for the great call quality. We’ve all come to love this aspect of owning a Nokia phone – the phones don’t lose signal as quickly as the competitor’s phones do, and the in-call voice call is second to none. But how do they do it?…
Quick update for the owners of the Nokia 808 PureView (directing all the jealousy in 3..2..) – there’s a new software update available for you lucky guys. It fixes a couple of bugs, and does a couple of improvements. Apart from that, it also reduces the size of the…
Well, Nokia USA is on the verge of making the 808 PureView official, in the US, of course. A product page has just gone live, hinting that the launch may happen soon. Of course, today.
Nokia USA on Facebook had been hinting about it for the past couple of days,…
Boom. Nokia’s CFO, Timo Ihamuotila, has stated that the company is prepared to sell some of its patents, if they get a right price for them. Quite a sad day for both the company and Finland.
The Finns earlier today reported some bad news, and a good news. Bad news was that they…
Some major news from Finland, this morning. Nokia’s announced the sale of a major stake in its luxury brand, Vertu, to EQT VI, retaining only 10%. And next, it announced that it will be acquiring Scalado’s assets – developers, technologies and intellectual property from the Sweden-based company. If you don’t know what Scalado is – they’re an imaging technology company, and RIM has licensed their camera tech from Scalado….
Finally after waiting for more than a month, Nokia India finally launched its monster cameraphone today. For early birds, the 808 will cost Rs. 33,889 from Nokia’s official store. This pricing is a disappointment for people who were expecting it to be under Rs. 30,000 (including me).
Pricing aside, the 808 is a great camera and you wont regret…
I make it a point not to end my titles with a question mark, but I couldn’t help it this time.
An invite just landed in our mailbox, informing us about the launch of the Nokia 808 PureView (finally!) in India. The event is scheduled to take place on June 13th. Two…
Ah. So, you say you are truly astonished after seeing all the awesome videos and pictures shot and clicked using the Nokia 808 PureView? Of course. We’re all astonished. I’ve never seen something like that from a phone, and the last phone that impressed me in this department, was the iPhone 4S. And the Nokia…
I know I know, Nokia has been ‘delaying’ the launch of the 808 PureView, and what not, but here’s the official confirmation – the much wanted device will be launched by mid-June. That’s according to the Nokia officials at Nokia Strategy Summit, which was held in Chennai, India, today.
You already know…
Just when you thought that the Asha storm has passed, there’s another one you have to deal with – Nokia today launched the Asha 311, Asha 306 and Asha 305. All of them are touchscreen devices, not the touch-and-type variety.
All of them are feature-phones, of course, and run S40 Asha…
Nokia’s ‘Product Availability’ page is really cool. They show us a Map of the world, and you can check if it’s available in your country or not by click on that area of the map.
Cool stuff aside, Nokia is going to sell this pièce de résistance in 81 countries…
You remember Quickoffice? Of course you do. I love it to bits. I’ve used it on my E-series smartphones from Nokia, and on Android. And there’s nothing else that impresses me as much as Quickoffice. Well, Google just acquired them.
