HTC Announces Rezound – Beats Audio, 4.3″ Display And Sense 3.5

HTC Rezound with Beats Audio

In more Beats-audio sporting phones’ news, HTC has announced the Rezound, after it was leaked numerous times (I’ve officially lost count, sorry). Turns out this is HTC’s latest flagship, and hell, it’s got the specs and the looks as well.

The specs –

  • Android 2.3.4 with Sense 3.5 UI on top
  • 4.3″ Super LCD display of HD resolution (1280×720 pixels), ~342 PPI
  • 1.5 GHz Dual Core processor, Adreno 220 GPU
  • 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, expandable by another 32 GB with a microSD card, 16 GB card included
  • 8 MP main camera, dual LED flash, capable of doing full HD recording (1080p), stereo sound recording; 2 MP front facing camera
  • GPS, aGPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • 1620 mAh Li-ion battery
  • Upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Available come November 14th from Verizon for $299, on a two year contract

HTC says that it will be upgrading the Rezound to ICS early 2012, so that’s there. ICS, as you’d know, is quite a big update, and the 720p screen of the Rezound will be done justice to when it runs ICS. For now, you have to suffice with Gingerbread. What shame..

The Rezound comes with Beats audio enhancements. Beats headphones come with the package.
