HTC Starts Selling One XL In Australia – $830 For The Beast

HTC has started selling the One XL down under, for a whopping price of $830. In case you’re wondering, it’s the off contract price, and will work on pretty much every Australian carrier, including on Telstra’s LTE network.

You could confuse this with the One X, so I thought it’s wiser to lay down the specs.

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense 4.0
  • 4.7″ Super IPS LCD2 display of 1280×720 resolution
  • 1.5 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon S4 Krait processor, Adreno 225 GPU
  • 8 MP main camera, LED flash, 1080p recording; front facing 1.3 MP camera
  • 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, non expandable
  • LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot
  • 1800 Li-Po battery

The price is too high, to be frank. 850 dollars for a device with 16 GB internal memory and no microSD card slot? Color me surprised. That, and the ridiculous price apart, the One XL is a fine device, and it looks good too, seeing its shell is a unibody of polycarbonate material.
