Continuing to showcase that it has no idea what it is doing, LG today announced the Optimus F series to bolster its LTE offerings. The Korean company announced two new phones, named Optimus F5 and F7, which try to address the upper mid-end and high-end ranges.
The Optimus F5 comes with a 4.3″ qHD display, and a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. Thankfully, it runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, but there’s this custom UI of LG on top. There’s a 5 MP camera, LED flash and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. On the storage front, there’s 8 GB internal memory, expandable with a microSD card. There’s 1 GB RAM and a 2,150 mAh battery.
The Optimus F7 is the better of the two, coming with a 4.7″ HD resolution display, but still comes with a 1.5 GHz dual core processor. LG hasn’t revealed the make, though. Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, 8 MP camera, LED flash and a 1.3 MP front facing camera along with 8 GB internal memory and 2 GB RAM complete the device. There’s a 2,540 mAh battery, though, and that seems to be the best aspect of this device.
