Verizon Announces LG Lucid 4G – LTE, Gingerbread And A Dual Core Processor

LG Lucid 4G

Ever wondered if there were enough Android mid-range devices? Course you did. So did I. And the answer could be this – no. There just cannot be enough, similar mid-range droids, never!

In keeping up with the spirit, Verizon has announced the LG Lucid 4G, running the 16-month old Android 2.3 Gingerbread, (because it’s never too late to launch another Gingerbread device!). We also have LTE connectivity, which sort of makes up for the older version of Android. Here are the few specs Verizon has revealed –

  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread with LG’s custom UI on top
  • 4″ 480×800 NOVA IPS-LCD display
  • 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor
  • 5 MP main camera, capable of recording full HD videos (1080p), front facing VGA camera
  • 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, expandable with a microSD card
  • LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wireless Hotspot
  • 1700 mAh battery

Verizon has priced it at $80, after a $50 mail-in rebate. If you like what you see, you are looking at a good mid-range device. It should also get Ice Cream Sandwich, most probably, so yeah.
