Google’s Motorola Acquisition Could Be Cleared As Early As Next Week


Google may have one less thing to worry come next week, as the WSJ reports that the Motorola acquisition is all set to be cleared by the US Justice Department.

Google had acquired Motorola Mobility back in August of 2011, for a whopping $12.5 Billion, in a move to strengthen its own patent portfolio (and probably to become a hardware player too), after Apple and Microsoft ganged up to allegedly prevent Google from acquiring Nortel patents.
