First Update To Windows Phone 8 Apollo Might Be Called Portico, Not Apollo+
You know how it is with the rumours, eh. WPCentral is reporting that according to its sources, the first update to Windows Phone 8, codenamed Apollo, could be called Portico. Previously, it was being referred to as Apollo+, sort of breaking from the tradition of naming updates which end with an -o (NoDo, Mango, Tango and Apollo.). For what it’s worth, Portico ends in an -o, so that’s one checkbox to clear.
Rumours are also suggesting that it will bring fixes for Wi-Fi, letting you remain connected to a Wi-Fi connection even when the screen is turned off (HTC’s Windows Phone 8X and 8S currently already allow you to stay connected to Wi-Fi even after you lock the phone), and support for VPN. That’s as much that is being thrown at the wall, currently, but I hope there will be more.
