Nokia, Samsung ready to “Bend it like Beckham”

At the Nokia world 2011 Nokia showed its prototype Kinetic device. This is a very innovative concept by Nokia that allows user to interact with the phone by twisting and squeezing it.

• Some of the actions that you can perform are:
• Twist to switch to next/previous track
• Twist to browse pictures
• Twist to scroll
• Bend forward to zoom in
• Bend backward to zoom out

Nokia has not set any fixed date to launch smartphones based on this prototype but they said taht the concept will soon become a reality.

Meanwhile Samsung has said it is ready to “launch mobile phones with flexible displays next year, with tablets and other portable devices to have these displays soon after.”

Looks like 2012 is going to be interesting
