AT&T Announces Samsung Focus 2 – LTE Capable Windows Phone For $50

Samsung Focus 2 AT&T

AT&T, USA’s second largest carrier, has announced the successor to the Samsung Focus, the Focus 2. It comes with LTE support, and runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. And yes, it’s the same Samsung Mandel, that was leaked a couple of days back.

The specs, if you want to have a look –

  • Windows Phone 7.5 Mango
  • 4″ Super AMOLED display, WVGA (800×480) resolution
  • 1.4 GHz single core processor
  • 5 MP main camera, LED flash, 720p video recording; front facing VGA camera
  • 512 MB RAM, 8 GB internal memory
  • Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE support

I’m not sure about NFC support (Samsung hasn’t provided the detailed specs, surprisingly), but, it should have been there, seeing the Nokia Lumia 610 NFC version will be out pretty soon in the market.

Either ways, you can get the Focus 2 for $50, on a two year contract from AT&T. At that price, and with LTE support, you really are looking at a very good deal.

The device can be picked up from AT&T starting May 20, but if you don’t want to miss out on the Focus 2 related news, you should sign up here.
