Nokia E5 – First Impressions

It’s been a couple of days now that I’ve been playing around with the E5, and it’s been two days of good, smooth multitasking I must say! The first time I looked at the E5, all I said was ‘Cute’. Yes, it does look cute for an E-series tag. The curves try to prove otherwise, but in vain. But calling an E-series device as ‘Cute’ would be undermining it’s abilities. E-series rock, but it remains to be seen if E5 lives upto it’s tag. We’ll find that out for you for sure! Moving on, the box contains two guides – one for the Ovi services, another for the device itself. There’s a 2 gigs memory card resting in the card slot, a micro-USB cable to connect your device to the PC, a pair of stereo headsets to listen and talk to your loved ones and listen to music. The E5 is powered by a BL-4D 1200 mAh battery that can go on for more than 25 days on standby and which can give you upto 12 hours of talktime (both on 2G). Now that is what we call power! With a 600 MHz processor under the hood and running on S60v3 FP2, this device should be a performer. It will perform, but how well it does so will be known in some days time.
