Nokia Music Application Released For Windows 8/RT, Gives You A 7-Day Trial Of Nokia Music+ To Boot

If you’re a Nokia Music subscriber, and also have Windows 8 installed on your computer, here’s a little something for you – Nokia’s released its Music app for Windows 8 and Windows RT.

Nokia Music for Windows 8/RT

Demoed at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, this app will let you listen to Nokia Mix Radio, however, if you have the old Nokia Music Unlimited subscription, you’ll still have to rely on the Nokia Music Player desktop app to download music, or your Nokia phone (tip: for better quality music, use the desktop app). The Nokia Music metro app only supports Nokia Music+ service, also announced at the MWC 13.

You can play music for free from the Mixes, or even play your own music on the computer. If you already have a Nokia Music+ subscription, you can simply connect your phone to the PC, and sign in with your account to start downloading music and more features the subscription provides.

You are offered a 7-day free trial of Nokia Music+, though and you do not have to provide any card details to get it, so give it a go, it’s definitely worth it. Otherwise, it costs £3.99 for 30 days.

Get the app from the Windows Store.
