Olive : the first full length feature film shot completely using N8; Coming to theatres this December

A bit of off topic news. Olive is the first full length feature film shot completely using an N8. It will be shown in more than 2000 theatres in US. Nokia’s flagship camera phone has proved itself once again. N8 has easily managed to beat the point and shoot cameras in the past. It gave a run for money to some low-end DSLRs. But shooting a feature film is a feat in itself. A special 35 mm lens adapter was used to get a shallow depth of field.

 According to the kickstarter

The film stars two time Academy Award nominated actress Gena Rowlands (the Notebook, A Woman Under the Influence, Gloria). The film simply put is about a little girl that goes into the lives of three people — an old lonely woman, a foreigner having a hard time acclimating in the United States, and an obese man — and transforms their lives without saying one word!

Director Hooman Khalili intends to submit it for Oscar consideration. Long live the N8!
