Nokia C5 – the Size Zero Performer!
Some 3 months ago, Nokia launched the second C Series device powered by Symbian S60, the C5. Good for people running on a tight budget, find out if this Symbian impressed us or not in our first phone review!
Looks like size zero in tech is in.. Yes, this phone felt almost half in my hands, which are used to E63. As a person who’s used to QWERTY for almost half year, going back on T9, even for a review seemed painful at first. Things started looking up on the 2nd day of use. That, in itself is a big compliment to the keypad quality.
Included in the box piece are a 2 GB micro SD card, a headset, a micro USB cable and a charger. The Box was very, very small in size, and that’s got to do with Nokia’s environment friendly practise. We’re impressed and that’s 2 on 2 till now.
While the keypad and design are brilliant, the display doesn’t exactly do justice to the Nokia tag – TFT screen of QVGA resolution, you’d think Nokia would be kidding. That’s a reality though, and that had got to do with the low price.
What you get with a C series device is super cool Integration with popular networks. And, we believe the C stands for ‘Consumer’, so its all the more user friendly. Integration is just a touch, errm, a click away to say, and uploading pics is a easier than ever.
Using the device in real life, is much easier than reading specs sheet, so we’re not going to burry you with lots of details. We’ll perhaps do with the specs that matter.

What we liked was that the device works fast, almost like the Eseries flagship – the E72 both having almost same amount of RAM and CPU speed. However, the screen left us wanting for more. There’s some metal too – the battery cover and the strips around the front panel. They enhance the looks of the device. Battery last almost 2 days with average use (my E63 lasts half day with very heavy usage, so you know how much the C5 will last). Concluding the review, we suggest you get the device IF you are on a tight budget. For the ladies though its a perfect device – elegantly combining style with power performance. Ofcourse, GO GET IT!
Available in two colors – white and black. The black one is a two-toned version. We preferred the white one, its a classic. Do let us know your preference. Stay hooked!
