AT&T Unloads 5 New Androids From Its Truck

*Wham bang* AT&T just announced 5 new Android smartphones. 5. Yes.

Motorola Atrix 2

First up is the Motorola Atrix 2. Uninspiring to say the least, but lets not dwell on it. The Atrix 2 comes with a 1 GHz dual core processor, a 4.3″ qHD display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and 4G capability. motorola-atrix-2 There’s a 8 MP camera on the back that can record fullHD videos, aided with a single LED flash. Then there’s a front facing camera as well. Internal memory can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card. A 2 GB card is included.

Samsung Captivate Glide samsung-captivate-glideThere’s a slide-out Qwerty keyboard, a dual core 1 GHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread installed. The display is a 4 incher Super AMOLED, with an 8 MP snapper on the back that can do fullHD recording. Front facing camera is a given. The same memory specs apply to the Captivate Glide. Samsung DoubeTime samsung-doubletime Hilarious name. And to continue with the hilarity, it comes with Android 2.2 Froyo. Yes. There’s a 600 MHz processor, a 3.2″ HVGA display. There’s a 3.2 MP camera on the front. Again, same memory specs.

Pantech Pocket

Looks ugly, alright. Specs? It’s got a 4″ SVGA resolution display, Gingerbread, 5 MP camera, and 4G support. A 5 MP camera is on the back which can record in HD. There’s Wi-Fi as well, alongside usual connectivity options.

ZTE Avail

The ZTE Avail comes with Gingerbread, a 3.5″ display, a 5 MP camera on the back. Looks like an entry level device.

Looks like AT&T has all price points covered nicely. No exact information on the actual pricing though.

AT&T announced today the upcoming availability of five new Android smartphones, the Motorola ATRIX™ 2, Samsung Captivate™ Glide, Samsung DoubleTime™, Pantech Pocket™ and the AT&T Avail™, a new smartphone option for prepaid customers. These smartphones will up AT&T’s 2011 Android lineup to 19, with more planned to follow.

Motorola ATRIX™ 2

The Motorola ATRIX™ 2 combines “extreme power” with “life of the party.” With its 1 GHz dual core processor and access to 4G speeds, entertainment lovers will revel in the ability to quickly download music and video and browse rich web pages in high-resolution on the 4.3-inch qHD display. Capture video in 1080p HD and display it on any size HD monitor with an HDMI cable using Mirror mode. With Motorola’s webtop application, you can browse the web with a full Firefox browser. Dock your phone in the optional HD Station** and browse the web on any size HD TV or monitor, or connect to the new Motorola Lapdock 100**, with optional full keyboard**, to use its multiple window capabilities to surf the web, make a call, send a text, stream a video or run a business application on the large screen all simultaneously.
