Dual Screen LG Pops Up, Packs In A Slideout Qwerty Keyboard As Well

Kyocera started it all. Now LG, the Korean giant, has a dual-screen headed to US Cellular. It’s not similar to the Kyocera Echo, though. One screen is on the top, when the Qwerty keyboard is closed, looking like any other candybar Android. But when you slide open the keyboard, you’ll find the second display.

The only difference between the two displays, is that the front display is of 3.5″ whereas the inner one measures 3.2″. That keyboard, though, reminds me of my li’l sibling playing around with his toys. It also reminds me about the keyboard of Samsung’s Corby series feature phones. Eeesh!

  • Android 2.2 (Froyo) powered device
  • Dual screens – 3.5″ front and 3.2″ inner one
  • Unique Side-Folder Design with 2 Touch Displays
  • 1 GHz processor
  • 5 MP camera on the back, no front camera
  • 430 MB internal memory; 8 GB memory card included
  • 1500 mAh battery; supports microUSB charging

Nothing that excites me at all. Reports suggest that it may cost around $250 on contract. A bit on the higher side, obviously.
