HTC has finally spoken up about the availability of its spanking new flagship, the One. Announced back in February, the device is still not available in most of the markets, but HTC has today announced that it will be available in the UK, Germany and its homeland, Taiwan, in the next week. The company says it’s been experiencing unprecedented demand and interest in the One, something that I do believe in, seeing the queries from people in real life, and on the internet.
As far as global availability is concerned, the HTC One will become available in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific before the end of April. That is perhaps a bit late, but HTC’s facing supply constraints – partly because of its own doing, and partly because it couldn’t estimate the demand reasonably.
I just hope they get the marketing right, this time. They could learn a thing or two from Apple and Samsung.
