LG X3 might be world’s first quad core smartphone, Tegra 3, NFC and ICS inside

Back in December 2010, LG surprised everyone by announcing LG Optimus 2X. It was worlds’s first dual core Android smartphone with a Tegra 2 chip inside. LG is all set to surprise everyone again. LG X3 might be the first smartphone with a quad core Tegra 3 chip inside. LG is expected to announce this monster at MWC 2012 at Barcelona next month.

Expected specs are

  • Display: 4.7″, 1280×720 resolution
  • Camera: 8MP rear, 1.3MP front
  • 21 Mb/s HSPA,
  • Wi-Fi b/g/n
  • Bluetooth 4.0, NFC
  • 2000 mAh battery

We have already heard about quad core HTC Edge and Samsung Galaxy S3. It will be intersting to see who wins the quad core race.
