Reports About The Death Of Samsung Galaxy S3 Were Highly Exaggerated*

SGS3 64 GB

A couple of days back, Expansys, a UK retailer, had started cancelling orders for the 64 GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S3. This prompted the entire blogosphere to speculate that Samsung had killed this version, due to a number of reasons. Turns out they were all passing time.

Samsung has confirmed to Android Central that the 64 GB version is pretty much alive, although it’ll be available only in some regions.

The 64GB model of the GALAXY S III will be available during the second half of this year. The market availability and timing may vary and will be determined at the time of release.”

It’s worth noting that the Galaxy S3 supports microSD cards up to 64 GB, so coupled with the 64 GBs of internal memory, you could carry around 128 GB worth stuff. More than what many people have in their PCs, I can tell you. Still, it’s amazing that you can have that much storage on a phone.

Yep. If you were looking to buy this monster, in its 64 GB variant, you still have the chance. When and how, we’ll all know in the weeks to come.
