Samsung India today launched the Galaxy Note 2 in India. At an event held in Hyderabad, the Note 2 was made official, bringing with it a special S-Pen, letting you get creative and be productive at the same time. The successor to the Note, the Note 2 is what you could say, a stretched version of the Galaxy S3, like the original Note was a stretched version of the Galaxy S2. That’s not to take away anything from the device, though. I think it’s okay to have a larger version of a current flagship, and it’s not like the Note 2 was launched out of thin air.
Coming with a 5.5″ Super AMOLED display and a 1.6 GHz quad core processor, the Note 2 is a beast. The display is of HD resolution, and there’s an 8 MP camera on the back, along with a 2 MP camera on the front. There are 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB versions of the Note 2, and if that’s not enough, you can expand it by another 64 GB using a microSD card. Oh, did I tell you there’s 2 GB RAM?
If the Hardware side doesn’t amaze you, hold your breath, since the Note 2 comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. Yes. That’s the best bit, in my opinion.
Considering the power it packs, the Note 2’s price of Rs. 39,990 doesn’t seem that high. In Germany, it costs almost $900, and the Indian price is $150 lesser than Germany’s.
