Samsung Galaxy R Style Comes With ICS And A 4.3″ Super AMOLED Display

Remember Samsung’s Galaxy R, announced last year? Well, here’s the successor, branded as Galaxy R Style. I don’t exactly know why they chose ‘Style’, but well, with these companies, you never know. Anyway, the Galaxy R Style comes with Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, and the latest version of TouchWiz UI (not TouchWiz Nature UI, the one found on the Galaxy S3).

Samsung Galaxy R Style

The Galaxy R Style, in fact, looks quite good. Better than the Galaxy S3, if I may say. However, it’s a mid-range device at best. The specs –

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz UI
  • 4.3″ Super AMOLED display of qHD resolution
  • 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 5 MP main camera, LED flash, front facing camera
  • 16 GB internal memory, expandable with a microSD card
  • Wi-Fi b/g/n, LTE, T-DMB, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC
  • 2000 mAh battery

The specs are sound. What I’m bothered about is the resolution, but then, all the mid-rangers come with that resolution, so yeah.

The Galaxy R Style (just realized that the ‘R’ in the Galaxy R series stands for ‘Royal’. Say me you’re kidding, Samsung.) costs $590, or 700,000 Korean Won. Er, all right.
