Samsung Rolling Out Android 4.0 ICS Update For Galaxy S2, Starts With Korea, Poland, Sweden And Hungary

If you are an owner of the Samsung Galaxy S2, and have been waiting for the Android 4.0 ICS update patiently, then here’s some good news for you – Samsung has started rolling out (this time for real) the much awaited update in 4 countries today.

Samsung announced this via its official Twitter channel – @SamsungMobiles, and this time, it’s for real.

The ICS update brings a lot of UI improvements, data monitor and face unlock, among others. If you cannot wait for the update to reach you, you could flash a European version of Gingerbread, and then the official European ICS ROM. That’s the fastest and safest way of getting the ICS on your SGS2, but if you would rather wait for the update to be available for your device, keep an eye on the company’s Twitter channel, or, check back on this post from time to time, we’ll keep adding new countries.

PS: At the time of writing this, it seems that Samsung Mobiles’ Twitter account was suspended, so I’m not able to show you the tweet, will update when they’re back.
