Nokia 603 Is Official – Belle, NFC, 1 GHz CPU, At Just €200

Nokia 603 Symbian Belle device

Some Belle goodness before Nokia World happens, folks. Nokia has announced the 603 – a sleek and smart Belle-powered device. It’s got quite some goodness, really.

The 603 has a 3.5″ ClearBlack LCD with a 1 GHz processor. Like the 701, its display brightness is about 1000 nits, so yeah, this one too has one of the brightest displays on phones. Then it has a 5 MP EDoF camera on the back, which can record HD (720p) videos @ 30 FPS. But, there’s no front facing camera. Sigh.

Here are the quick specs:

  • Symbian Belle
  • 3.5″ ClearBlack LCD IPS display, of 360×640 resolution, ~210 PPI
  • 1 GHz processor, with 2D/3D Graphics Acceleration, OpenGL ES 2 and OpenVG 1.1 support (lack of a dedicated GPU is compensated, in simple terms)
  • 512 MB RAM, 2 GB internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB with a microSD card
  • 5 MP EDoF camera, can record 720p videos @ 30 FPS
  • NFC, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, USB On The Go, GPS
  • BP-3L battery of ‘__’ capacity (will be updated as we know the capacity)
  • Price has been fixed at €200, before taxes and subsidies

The Nokia 603 will be available in Black and White, with 6 different color choices for the covers. Colorful indeed! It should start shipping in Q4.
