Nokia’s Hoping With The Asha 202, 203 And 302 – S40, Touch And Type
Not satisfied with wowing us with the PureView 808 and the chic-looking Lumia 610, Nokia also launched 3 new Asha series devices – the Asha 202, 203 and 302. They, along with the four Asha devices launched at Nokia World last year form an important part of the ‘Next Billion’ strategy of Nokia.
Here’s what you should know about these devices -
All the three devices run on the latest version of S40.
The Asha 202 and 203 come with a 2.4″ touchscreen, a T9 keypad. The 202 comes with Dual SIM support, and the built in SIM manager can store information of upto 5 SIM cards. Unique eh. The higher numbered 203 doesn’t come with dual SIM support, weirdly.
Both the devices come with a 2 MP camera, a 1 GHz processor, microSD card slot and a 1020 mAh battery. Both will cost around 60 Euros. Cheap just got cheaper. Oh wait, did I tell you that Nokia’s offering an EA game pack that’s worth 75 Euros, for Asha 202 and 203? It is. It’s more like they’re offering you 15 Euros for buying any of these two phones.
Moving on to the Asha 303, it comes with a full QWERTY keypad and supports Mail for Exchange. First feature-phone to be able to do so, apparently. There’s a 2.4″ display, a 1 GHz processor, microSD card slot, a 3.2 MP camera on the back. It’ll set you back by about $130. That’s a lot for the price.
The Asha 202 and 203 will be shipping Q2 2012. The Asha 302 will be available next month.
