Talk about being late. LG has released the much-awaited, denied and granted, ICS update to the Optimus 2X. It gets only Ice Cream Sandwich, though, not Jelly Bean, which had Project Butter. Expect a lot of goodness, but not as much as JB, sadly.
As usual, unlocked, non carrier-branded devices can get the update…
As promised Sony has started rolling Ice Cream Sandwich update for Xperia Mini Pro. It is a great move by Sony to upgrade their popular low cost Android handsets like the Mini and Mini Pro. The update however is not OTA and you’ll need a PC or Mac to update your device.
What are you waiting for? Go and check…
The carriers are at it again. Apparently, US’ major carrier, AT&T, isn’t ready to roll out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update just yet. But a clever member on XDA has a workaround to that. Yes, you can get the ICS update without having to wait for the carrier to…
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! While everyone was waiting to see official ICS rollout on Galaxy S2 on 15th of this month, HTC stunned everyone by releasing ICS for its 2011 flagship Sensation XE. Yeah, not Samsung or Motorola but HTC is the first OEM to provide ICS update. I’ve omitted ICS update for Nexus S because despite being produced by Samsung, it is more of a Google product.
We all love Facebook, don’t we? Okay, not all of us do. But well, brands do. And here’s another announcement that’s been made on Facebook. Mind you, it’s an important announcement – if you’re in Israel, and happen to own a Samsung Galaxy S2, you are in for a treat. Samsung is going…
Samsung Norway confirmed Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note by the end of Q1. The confirmation was made on official Facebook page
Samsung UK has already confirmed ICS for Galaxy S2 but they did not reveal any dates. Those who…
Acer has one beast of an Android tablet here, what it calls the Iconia Tab A700. The specs are top notch, display being the icing on the cake. And the fact that it will launch with Ice Cream Sandwich rounds it off nice and square. Brilliant.
The first thing you’ll notice about…
Velocity Micro has announced two new Android 4.0 running tablets today – the Cruz T507 and Cruz T510, sporting 7″ and 9.7″ displays, respectively.
Although you may have not heard about them, the company had released a low-cost Android tablet before, and today, they seem to be firming up their portfolio with…
Twitter is awesome. Lots of stuff/news is broken first on Twitter so many times, than other formal modes of communication.
Note that the following update isn’t official. However, it comes from a very, very reliable source. The person in point is a dealer, whom I’ve been following for…
Does it get any more lame than this? Probably it cannot. But well, certain Android OEMs are known to pull a trick out of their magical bag every now and then. In keeping with the tradition, LG has revealed plans of pushing out the oh-so-important Ice Cream Sandwich late next year, for a slew…
If you own any Samsung made Android device right now, you should freak out. Or at least, be ready to do so. And probably, you may want to just get a Nexus brand Android in future, just because of things like these. You’d do good to remember HTC too…
Probably, just probably, the person from ASUS who decided that the Transformer Prime won’t be released with Ice Cream Sandwich, was smokin’ something weird. Well, as it turns out, this not-yet-announced tablet won’t come with the latest version of Android out of the box.
Bozo.
Honeycomb has been a PIA, as others will corroborate with…
