Oooh boy, Canonical just released the Ubuntu Phone images for the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. Note that only Maguro, Mako, Grouper and Manta versions of the said devices, respectively.
Ubuntu Wiki has installation instructions, and if I’m successful in flashing the image, I’ll be doing a more simplified version of the instructions here….
Ooh, something for the owners of Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus to play around with soon – Canonical has announced that the first images of Ubuntu for Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus will be released on the coming 21st, just four days before the Mobile World Congress starts.
If you’re heading to Barcelona for the congress, Canonical…
I love the CyanogenMod guys. And they’re really, really fast, so they’ve now pushed out the first CM10.1 nightly, based on 4.2 Jelly Bean, for the new Nexus phone, the Nexus 4.
The Nexus 4 is the first device to get a 4.2-based CM10.1 ROM, with the Nexus 10 tablet which will follow soon enough. The…
Oh, you remember Google had removed December in the People app in the 4.2 update? They promised to fix it, and sure they have. The Android 4.2.1 update is now rolling out for both the Takju and Yakju variants of the Galaxy Nexus, and it’s a small update, worth about an MB, approximately.
That…
Just as I moved away from Stock Jelly Bean, Google decided it was time to push the Android 4.2 update for “Yakju” Galaxy Nexii, and shortly thereafter, the factory images were published as well.
The 4.2 update brings some new features, some of which are -

I know it’s a tad too early to write about the next Nexus device already, and even more ridiculous to be talking about the Nexus after the successor to the Galaxy Nexus, i.e., the Nexus 5, but here’s a little bit of information – HTC will be making the next Nexus 5, and not…
Probably a sad news for a lot of smartphone enthusiasts in India – Samsung, the manufacturer of the Galaxy Nexus, has gone official about what I was fearing – it isn’t going to launch the device in India. Speculation was rife that the launch would happen in the early half of January, and rumors kept…
It doesn’t look like phones want to connect to the networks of the carriers to use data. First it was the Nokia Lumia 900, now it’s the turn of Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Apparently, users of the device are having a hard time trying to persuade their Galaxy Nexus to connect to…
It’s no secret that more people love and know about the Nexus brand, than they love a specific, non-Nexus branded device. They either know it’s a Nexus, or that it’s Android. That Sprint had all of its pre-order stock of the Galaxy Nexus booked just goes on to show how much the Nexus…
Many Sprint customers have been eagerly waiting for the Galaxy Nexus to launch. For many weeks. Well it seems like the pre-order page on Sprint’s website has gone live. The price that Sprint’s asking is $200, which may not seem very exciting, seeing the Verizon version is available for $80, for…
