Samsung India today launched two new Android smartphones, adding them to the Galaxy line. Both come with dual-SIM dual-Standby support, and if you use two phones, you could look into these. One thing to note though – they both support GSM+GSM, so if you have a CDMA connection, you might want to be careful.
Amazing? Amazing. Confusing? Pretty much. Nikon just lifted the covers off the Coolpix S800c, a dedicated camera running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. You’d ask why? Yeah, why?
It’s a low-end camera, with a 16 MP sensor, 10x optical zoom, and a 3.5″ LCD display. It’s got Wi-Fi built-in as well, so you…
Been a long time since I posted anything on here, but I was a bit pre-occupied with some personal work, and studies. But I guess I’m back now, and regular news bits will follow soon.
LG had announced its low end, dual SIM Android phone back in June, and it’s now listed on Flipkart…
Remember that Samsung Galaxy Beam which has a built-in projector? Oh yes, you do. It was shown off at MWC earlier this year. It’s now up for pre-order in two markets – the UK and India.
A quick look at the…
Boom. Sony just announced four new Android smartphones today – Xperia Ion HSPA’s a high end smartphone, the Xperia Miro is a low mid-ranger and the tipo and tipo dual are low-end smartphones. Sony can’t stop trolling us enough. As far as my memory serves, they have launched/announced about a dozen smartphones in the past 4-5 months itself. Classic example of an Asian company.
Samsung has unveiled a flip phone, and it runs Android! This one’s exclusively for China Unicom, and probably won’t be seeing the other parts of the world, sadly.
Named the GT-B9120, this flip phone comes with two displays, and no, the outer display is not small. It’s a good 3.5″ Super AMOLED display…
Samsung and AT&T have launched another mid-range device, branded as just Samsung Exhilarate. This mid-ranger comes with a 4″ Super AMOLED display and a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. No, no HD resolution, but it’s a good enough 800×480 display. Enough for a mid-ranger.
What I don’t understand, however, is that the Exhilarate runs Android 2.3…
It’s been a mere 17 months since the announcement of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 4 months after which the Motorola Cliq 2 was launched, running an older version, Froyo. But it seems that both Motorola and T-Mobile dozed off and when they woke up, they forgot that the Cliq 2…
Indian company, Micromax, has launched another Android phone, named (ridiculously) A50 Superfone Ninja. It’s a low-end phone which runs Android, and comes with a voice recognition engine called Aisha. So much for attention, eh.
Anyway, here are the specs -
Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread 3.1″ display 650 MHz processor 2 MP camera on the back Internal…What do you get when you overclock the processor and add a new word at the end of an existing device which has flopped? You get a new device! That’s what LG did with the Optimus 3D. They have launched a new device called Optimus 3D Max. Before I talk more, I’ll lay…
Panasonic, a Japanese company, made its first foray in the world of smartphones today, launching the Eluga with a 4.3″ qHD OLED display and Android on board.
The Eluga was shown off at MWC, along with the Eluga Power, and comes with IP57 certification. If you don’t know what that means, I’ll put it in simple…
Ever wondered if there were enough Android mid-range devices? Course you did. So did I. And the answer could be this – no. There just cannot be enough, similar mid-range droids, never!
In keeping up with the spirit, Verizon has announced the LG Lucid 4G, running the 16-month old Android 2.3 Gingerbread, (because it’s never too…
