Viber is an app that lets you make free calls and send free texts… amazing eh? Viber was already available for all major platforms – iOS, Android, and BlackBerry. Their multi-platform approach bundled with great features surely helped them cross 100 million users. As if this wasn’t enough Viber announced support for S40, Symbian and Bada too. The surprising thing is that even older S60 Symbian devices will be supported.
Nokia Asha 311 had a private release event at the Nokia Office in India yesterday, that is, 24th August 2012. Well, the event was amazing. And why won’t it be? Well, getting to the point, the Nokia Asha 311. Packing loads of features at the price range of Rs. 7000. Here…
Just when you thought that the Asha storm has passed, there’s another one you have to deal with – Nokia today launched the Asha 311, Asha 306 and Asha 305. All of them are touchscreen devices, not the touch-and-type variety.
All of them are feature-phones, of course, and run S40 Asha…
Here’s a totally unexpected piece of news – Nokia might be working on two new MeeGo devices. Confused? Perhaps you remember Nokia said there wouldn’t be any MeeGo device, after the N9. Sure, we do too. And there are no prizes for guessing, we are as confused as you are.
Nokia also launched the Asha series of feature-phones last year,…
Not satisfied with wowing us with the PureView 808 and the chic-looking Lumia 610, Nokia also launched 3 new Asha series devices – the Asha 202, 203 and 302. They, along with the four Asha devices launched…
Quite something this. Nokia has bought a company by name ‘Smarterphone’, which makes Operating System for feature phones. And Nokia is aiming big in this segment, going by Elop’s ‘Connecting the next Billion’ slogan.
Also, you may remember about Meltemi, the oh-so-secret Linux based OS that Nokia is busy readying for such devices. Some reports…
Nokia announced their new “Asha” lineup of S40 phones today at the Nokia World. “Asha” is a Hindi word which means “hope”. These feature phones are targeted for emerging markets where smartphones are still considered to be a luxury. A total of four phones were announced under the Asha series. These include the Asha 200, 201, 300 and 303.

Anyone reading this, remember the ‘Connecting the Next Billion’ thing that Nokia said?
Don’t bother if you don’t. Here’s a fresh new leak that suggests what Nokia may have in store for us – a C3-01 running Symbian S40 (yeah, the dumb OS) on a 1 GHz processor.
Yes, I know, it’s weird outright. An S40 with a GHz processor would not only be insane, but also a never-seen-before range of spec from the Finnish giant.
Up until now, Nokia has resisted jumping into the mad mad specs race, but it could well be giving up. Or not. It’s just a rumor at the moment.
Also, the tweet you see…
Calm down, and soak in this little piece of info ‘check-in’. I’ve always loved the Betalabs peeps, for they come out with really good apps from time to time. And this time again, they’ve released an updated version of Foursquare for S40, with support for S60 and Symbian, a.k.a., Symbian^3 thrown in as well. I…
Another free game in the Ovi Store that we have got our hands on is Nuke Defender by Playbuff . The title sounds good, eh? Why don’t you get your hands on it then? Head over to the Ovi Store now to get it for free!
Okay, so now that all the hype and hoopla over Opera Mini 5.1 finally crossing the barrier and becoming a native Symbian app from the Java version is over, one question that I have is, ‘is it really worth it?’ Read on to find out…
