Prospective Lumia Buyers – Hold Out For A While, Nokia Plans To Deeply Discount Them
If you are planning to buy a Lumia device any time soon, I advice you to hold on your purchase for a while. Why? You can save some money. Or may be, a lot of money.
WSJ today reported that Nokia’s CEO, Stephen Elop, is planning to deeply discount the Lumias in the emerging markets. Why? Obviously, to drive sales. Nokia wants to compete effectively with its Asian rivals, and to do so, it seems that the company has only one way – to deeply discount its most interesting devices on the market. Which, admittedly, may hit its bottomline in the short term. In the long term, though, I think it’s a good move.
Okay. Enough of thinking from the company’s perspective. As a consumer, you stand to benefit. The Lumia range speaks of good quality, and if you’re planning to buy one, I repeat, hold out for a bit. In the meanwhile, I’ll try to get some information about it.
