Here’s what you have been wanting ever since CES – AT&T has announced that the Lumia 900 and the Titan II, both running Windows Phone Mango, and LTE-capable devices. The carrier has fixed the prices at $100 and $200 respectively. Bonkers.
The Lumia 900 will be Nokia’s first LTE-capable Windows Phone, and will play an important role in the Finnish giant’s re-entry in to the much important US market. And the price of $100 is too tempting to ignore it. And you should know, Windows Phone is awesome once you start ignoring what the others have to say about it (positive or negative), and instead try to see if it fits in your usage.
HTC’s Titan II is also an LTE capable device, and the price has been fixed at $200. One has to wonder why, though. The Lumia 900 is far more superior in terms of design, and before you say, the 16 MPs of the camera on the Titan II doesn’t necessarily guarantee great detail. It’s the sensor size that determines the quality. Double the price of the Lumia 900? Good luck selling that.
Both the devices should be available from AT&T from April 8th, but if you just cannot wait, you can go ahead and pre-order beginning March 30th.
Update: We have the off-contract pricing of the Lumia 900 and the Titan II. The former will cost you about $450, and the latter, around $550. I can tons of Titan IIs selling. Not.
