Nokia had announced the Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820, but hadn’t revealed the pricing information and availability bit. Now though, we have official prices for three European countries – Germany, Italy and Russia, with rumours suggesting that the devices will become available sometime in November.
The Lumia 920’s price varies from €600 to €650, in the three countries, whereas the Lumia 820’s price is almost the same in all of them – €500. The Lumia 920 is the best of the two, and arguably comes with the best camera in a smartphone, but if Nokia wants to sell tons of them, this price seems a bit on the higher side. Unless Nokia throws in a wireless charging pillow/plate, or some accessory, I’d say this is prohibitive pricing.
Coming to the availability part, there’s no word from Russia or Germany, but Nokia Italy does say that the device will launch on TeliaSenora’s network on November 12. What remains to be seen is if Nokia can retain any of the interest in its new devices, or if the consumers have moved on.
