[Updated] Samsung Omnia M Is A Low-end Windows Phone – Tango, 4″ Super AMOLED Display

Samsung Omnia M Windows Phone

Here’s another low-end Windows Phone, and this time, it’s Samsung – the Omnia M. It features pretty humble specs, so I’m expecting the price to be somewhere around $200-230. Or even less. It looks good for a low-end device though, and the 4″ Super AMOLED display really took me by surprise.

Here are the specs, anyway.

  • Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh
  • 4″ Super AMOLED display, WVGA resolution
  • 1 GHz single core processor
  • 5 MP camera on the back, LED flash, can record only in VGA resolution, though
  • 384 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory (2 GB user-available) [there’s now an 8 GB variant as well, so you’ll have around 6 GB memory for your media and apps and all. Pretty good.
  • Wi-Fi b/g/n, HSPA
  • Standard 1500 mAh Li-ion battery

Samsung’s also listed the ChatOn app, surprisingly. The said app has been available on iOS, Android, Bada and Blackberry for quite some time now, but it wasn’t available on Windows Phone. Any way, even if it comes to Windows Phone, it’ll remain a Samsung-exclusive. Understandable enough, though.

I think the memory aspect is really bad, otherwise it’s a decent device.

Update: Samsung has added an 8 GB version as well. (via @sirajsoft
