Rejoice Windows Phone users! WhatsApp for Windows Phone has received an update. A couple of new features have been added, and the existing ones fixed/improved. Much like your usual app update story.

This new version of WhatsApp now lets you to share contacts, browse images shared in a conversation and a couple more things. Here’s the full change-log -

  • Improved support for Emoji
  • Group mute features Share contacts
  • Browse downloaded media in a conversation
  • German and Russian localizations
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements

And if you want to know what was added in v1.8 -

  • Enhanced location support
  • Set group icon with web search
  • Video recorder
  • Able to block contacts and manipulate block list
  • More accurate “last seen” time
