WP8 Apollo Is Being Tested On The Nokia Lumia 800, Couple Of New Features Mentioned

Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone 8 Apollo

I generally don’t post a lot of these rumors.

1. Most of them are BS.

2. They are boring.

3. Many don’t make sense.

But reading some stuff of late, I thought I’d post it. So here it is.

A poster on WPXAP.com has revealed that his friend in the US, who works for Microsoft, is testing an Apollo build on the Nokia Lumia 800. He also mentions that the said friend has a not-yet-announced Nokia Lumia which is running Windows Phone 8, aka Apollo, by default.

If that’s not enough, the poster also mentions a couple of features -

  • Touch response is much faster
  • Folder support added
  • Overhauled Internet Explorer
  • Improved Chinese language support

While the said features may not exactly sound awesome and invoke a “OMG THIS IS AWESOME” response from most of us, what is of interest to me is that Apollo is being tested on the Lumia 800. Seeing the rumors fly, after they were carefully crafted and a lot of fuck was given to them, it’s interesting to see that Microsoft and Nokia are already testing Apollo on the Lumia 800. Not that they wouldn’t do it, but it does seem that they’re revealing a tid bit here and there to silence these rumors.

Keep ‘em coming, posters.
